Fellowship of Christian Athletes exist to present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
- Huddle Coach/Character Coaches (requires completion of our Ministry Leader Application) – Serve a campus at their weekly huddle meetings or adopt a team and lead a Team Huddle (bible study, chapel talks, etc). The best way to plug someone in to this type of role is to find out if they have a campus that they have a connection to and would like to serve, or find out their geographic location and time availability and find a huddle/team near them that needs support. We can provide training for any individuals interested in serving in this capacity.
- Event volunteers – help with setup, serving and/or cleanup at one of our community wide events such as: Banquet (November), Coaches Appreciation Dinner (January 28 at CBC), Spring Luncheon (April/May), Golf Tournaments (2-3 per year)
- Adopt a Coach – Pray for and build relationship with an area coach as the Holy Spirit directs which may lead to opportunities to bless the coach through small gifts on birthdays, end of season, etc. or providing spiritual encouragement/mentoring. We could possibly start a Coaches Huddle at CBC. We probably have enough coaches in our congregation!
- Camp Volunteer positions – Openings at camps vary, but may include serving on prayer team, hospitality (camp store or staff fellowships), referee, clinician or even driving a 15 passenger van of kids to camp. Specific needs are identified closer to summer camp season.
